Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Information Technology in Management Information Systems (Hons) is a dynamic and industry-relevant programme that combines core knowledge in information technology with key principles of management. It is designed to equip students with comprehensive ICT skills, enabling them to develop, manage, and integrate information systems that support and enhance organizational operations. Entry Requirements

General Requirements The general academic requirements for admission into Bachelor of Information Technology in Management Information Systems (Hons) are as follows: A pass in STPM with a minimum Grade of C (GP 2.00) in any TWO (2) subjects; OR A pass in STAM with a minimum Grade of Jayyid in any TWO (2) subjects; OR A pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in Non-Computing with a minimum CGPA of 2.75. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.75 but more than 2.50 can be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment; OR Two principal passes in the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE) ‘A’ Level Examination (UK Education System); OR A pass in any Diploma recognized by the Government of Malaysia and/or the Senate of the University; OR Five (5) Passes in SPM/SPMV or in the General Certificate of Education ‘Ordinary Level’ (GCE) ‘O’ Level Examination (UK Education System) or their equivalent AND at least 3 years working experience; OR Any other certificate or qualification that is recognized by the University’s Academic Board as equivalent to one of the above.   APEL.A Entry Possess an APEL.A certificate from MQA for admission into Bachelor programmes.   Language Requirements – For International Students Where the medium of instruction of a course is English and if applicant’s first language is other than English, applicants are required to obtain a score of either: 3.5 band MUET or equivalent to CEFR (High B1) 40 TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or 5.0 band IELTS (International English Language Testing Service)
